Asian Vegetable Rice

INGREDIENTS

2 cups water
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon chicken base
1 teaspoon Durkee® Minced Garlic
1/2 teaspoon Durkee® Ground Ginger
1/4 teaspoon Durkee® Ground White Pepper
dash Durkee® Cayenne Pepper
1 cup long grain OR converted rice
2 cups frozen stir-fry vegetables
2 tablespoons chopped, toasted almonds
1 tablespoon Durkee® Sesame Seed

DIRECTIONS

Combine water, soy sauce, chicken base, garlic, ginger, white pepper, cayenne pepper and rice in a covered saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

Add stir-fry vegetables and cook an additional 5 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Toss with almonds and sesame seeds.

Recipe Note: If using Basmati rice, reduce water by a third.
