Cincinnati Chili

INGREDIENTS

2 medium onions, chopped
1 pound lean ground beef
1 large green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon Durkee® Mustard Seed
1 - 1/2 tablespoons Durkee® Chili Powder
1 teaspoon Durkee® Cumin Seed
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon Durkee® Ground Cinnamon
1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
3 cans (15 ounces each) kidney beans, undrained

DIRECTIONS

Brown beef in large Dutch oven over medium-high heat; drain. Add onion and green pepper; cook for 10 minutes or until onion is tender. Add mustard seeds and cook 1 minute. Add chili powder, cumin seeds, cocoa, cinnamon, tomatoes and beans.

Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, 40 minutes or until chili is thickened. Serve with lime wedges and cheddar cheese, if desired.
