Burgers with Beer Braised Onions

INGREDIENTS

1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 teaspoon Durkee® Minced Garlic
1/4 teaspoon Durkee® Ground Black Pepper
1/8 teaspoon Durkee® Cayenne Pepper
Beer Braised Onions
1 tablespoon butter
1 sweet onion, sliced
1/2 cup beer
4 slices smoked Gouda cheese
4 hamburger buns

DIRECTIONS

Combine ground beef , minced garlic, black pepper and cayenne pepper in a medium bowl.  Form into 4 patties.

Melt butter in a large skillet.  Add onion slices and cook for 5 to 6 minutes until soft but not browned.  Add beer and cook until beer has evaporated.

Grill  burgers over medium heat for 10 to 12 minutes until desired doneness. Top with cheese and cook 1 to 2 minutes until cheese begins to melt.  Serve on hamburger buns with beer braised onions.
