Beer Bread

INGREDIENTS

4 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 can (12 ounces) beer
1 slightly beaten egg
2 tablespoons butter OR margarine, melted
2 tablespoon Durkee® Caraway Seed
OR Durkee® Poppy Seed
OR Durkee® Sesame Seed

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 375ºF.

Combine flour, sugar, beer, and egg in a large mixing bowl, and mix well. Place dough in a greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of seed choice. Bake for 65 minutes or until done. Remove loaf from pan immediately.

Recipe note: Do not mix seeds into dough, or an off flavor will occur.
